Traveling With Geezers – Travel adventure is just around the corner for us Geezers

Welcome to Traveling with Geezers. This blog is all about travel, adventure, tips, and everything else Geezer travel related. Claire, Jean, Rick and Rob thought it would be fun to bring our Geezer Travel Prospective to you. Rick and Clair have traveled the world, including Germany, Italy, and Australia and extensively in the U.S.. Rick enjoys taking photos, (well Clair says he is ate up). One of their latest adventure was Alaska.

Rob and Jean have ventured to Germany, Iceland, Canada Mexico and of course the U.S. Their favorite mode is air, rental car, rail, and foot. They also have traveled extensively in the U.S. Jean and Rob are also into photography. Jean has won several awards and Rob is still learning. They both thought Iceland was amazing and the Northern lights show was exquisite. We plan to have guest posts, and Geezer Affiliates as well. Introspection of a Geezer

gee•zer – /ˈɡēzər/ – A humorous or mildly disparaging word used to describe an older person, especially one who is no longer cool, hip or with the times. If you consult Google, or look in the dictionary (if you’re a geezer), this is the most charitable definition that you will find.

The founders of and participants in this web forum are proud to be geezers and in doing things that geezers do to entertain and amuse themselves when they travel. Because we are self-aware and somewhat enlightened, we realize that we don’t know everything and that others may have interests, pursuits and activities that they enjoy that we have not yet experienced and might also enjoy. We also endeavor to put our knowledge and experience out there and share it with other geezers and prospective geezers, so that they can learn from our travel experiences, to include our successes and failures.

While many see the word geezer as a disparaging word, we wear it with pride and as a means to interact with others who share our pride in being well seasoned, but not well done.
