gee•zer – /ˈɡēzər/ – A humorous or mildly disparaging word used to describe an older person, especially one who is no longer cool, hip or with the times. If you consult Google, or look in the dictionary (if you’re a geezer), this is the most charitable definition that you will find.

The founders of and participants in this web forum are proud to be geezers and in doing things that geezers do to entertain and amuse themselves when they travel. Because we are self-aware and somewhat enlightened, we realize that we don’t know everything and that others may have interests, pursuits and activities that they enjoy that we have not yet experienced and might also enjoy. We also endeavor to put our knowledge and experience out there and share it with other geezers and prospective geezers, so that they can learn from our travel experiences, to include our successes and failures.

While many see the word geezer as a disparaging word, we wear it with pride and as a means to interact with others who share our pride in being well seasoned, but not well done.
